Frank Roberson Jr. age 100 passed away on May 17th, 2020. He was born on May 14th 1920 in Abilene Texas to Frank Roberson Senior and Francis Kate Roberson. While attending schools in Abilene he met the love of his life Shirley. They were married for over 75 wonderful years and were blessed with four children. Frank proudly served as a Seabee in the US navy in World War II. After the war he received a BS degree from McMurry University. After the war he became an insurance claims adjuster for various companies until his retirement. However retirement was put on hold as he was coaxed into adjusting claims after disasters in many different parts of the country. Frank enjoyed golfing and do-it-yourself projects at home. He also enjoyed family vacations including camping trips. He relished telling stories to audiences of any size. Another favorite activity he enjoyed was singing, especially with the choir at St. Marks Presbyterian church. The fun and fellowship gained there was very dear to him, as well as the worship services. Frank is preceded in death by his son Gary Roberson, his son in law E.B. Phillips, son in law Jim Dollinger, his daughter Lynn Phillips and his wife Shirley Roberson. He is survived by his daughters Debbie Roberson Dollinger and Karen Roberson Lacey and her husband Kyle. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Family will hold a public celebration of life at a later date.
