Fred Webb Jr.

At an early age, Fred dedicated his life to God and became a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

He attended Bruce High School as a proud Buckeye before graduating from Gilmer High School in 1969. Known for his sharp style, he was voted Best Dressed. He later attended Prairie View A&M University, where he majored in Business Administration and met the love of his life, Wonda Johnson Webb. They were married September 21, 1973 and shared 52 years of devoted love and partnership.

Fred and Wonda raised their daughters Karen Gipson (Thomas) and Cristal Kirby (Paul). He also embraced two children from earlier chapters of his life, Ava Pierce and Kezshma Logan.

A committed and hardworking man, Fred retired from the United States Postal Service after over 33 years of service. He built lifelong friendships with coworkers and loved playing softball with them; earning “battle scars” he was proud to share.

He loved music, especially Motown, R&B, and Rap, and enjoyed movies like Jaws, The Shawshank Redemption, Down Periscope, Predator and Sho’nuff. Known for his big personality, he truly was the life of the party and brought joy to everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Webb Sr., Mary Lou Jones Webb and brothers Gerald and Casta Webb and his sister Rachel Price.

He leaves behind his loving wife, his daughters, his treasured grandchildren whom he adored, and a host of family and friends. His unforgettable words to his family were, “Go give them hell and tell them I sent you.” His legacy of love, laughter, and joy will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6300 South R.L., Dallas, TX 75232. A committal will occur Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232.
