I just found out about Freda's passing this morning at the JCC where we exercised together and got to know each other. Freda was a fabulous physician and true expert who advanced her field of nephrology and trained many young physicians throughout her career. We had many conversations about the modern-day practice of medicine and our responsibilities as physicians. She was committed to her patients and giving them the best care possible. Her family, particularly her parents, were her highest priority and she was devoted to them. She was warm and caring and a true model of what it means to live an ethical Jewish life. She will be missed by all who knew her.

My heart was broken when I heard the news. Dr. Levy will definitely be missed! She has been my doctor, friend, counselor, and honestly, felt like family to me, not forgetting my greatest advocate. An amazing lady in every way, always wanting the best for all. To say the least, I will be lost without her. The 23 years we’ve spent learning and building our relationship will never be forgotten! I pray for peace for all those that feel this great loss. But also want to remember and celebrate the beautiful spirit and lady we called Dr. Levy!

I just received the news that the best doctor has passed away. I have been a patient of hers since 1994 when I was a young, scared 19 year old unaware of what was going on. Dr. Levy was a calm spirit who not only knew what she was doing, but cared for me. She diagnosed my illnesses before my PCP did. She referred me to specialists, followed up, and made sure everything went well. She not only cared for me, but she always asked about my mom, my children, and my social life. She continued seeing me yearly to make sure everything was fine. She was a jewel who I will truly miss. I’m very saddened by her passing and wish I’d known sooner so I could’ve come to pay my respects. I loved her because I wasn’t just a patient; I was a person. My sincere condolences to the family. There will never be another one so great!

I am shocked and saddened by this news. My last appointment was on October 8, 2018 and we talked about the holidays, family and wished each other happy holidays. She knew my granddaughters name and oten asked how my children were doing. I am going to miss my doctor and my friend, she saved my life during my time of kidney failure. I am going to be lost without her.

My condolences go out to her family and co-workers.

I have been a patient of Dr. Freda Levy for over 15 years and have always been pleased with her expertise and caring!
Needless to say I was shocked when I received a call today that she had passed away! To say I am saddened would be an understatement! I pray she is resting in peace! I cannot imagine having to change doctors after having her care for such a long time! I don’t know much about her family but I pray for their comfort today! She will certainly be missed! She was an amazing doctor!

You always made me feel comfortable for 20 plus years, you always asked about my children and never forgotten their names. You always got on to me when I wasn't doing what you told me to do to take better care of myself. My last visit with you, we had a very personal conversation and you let me cry in your office for ten minutes.

I am going to miss you so much. Rest In Peace Dr. Levy!!!!

Dr Levy, my heart was broken today when I received the news of your passing. Imagine going in for a doctors appointment and your doctor keep repeating he needs to talk to you before you leave. Out of all the things he could have discussed this was the last thing I expected.
I am truly going to miss you. When I came to you as a patient, everything that you advised you were going to accomplish concerning my health you did and when you said it would happen. I watched you as you cared for my mom almost 20 yrs ago, and what I saw of you and how you cared for your patients was impressive to me. So caring, knowlegable in your profession and very no-nonsense.
This really hurts. Thank you for caring about my whole well-being like I was one of your own.
Rest In Heaven my sweet one.

P.S. Dr Venincasa reminded me that I still must have done by February what you told me you expect to be done.

Love you for caring so much. I am truly going to miss you!!!!

My Dearest Dr Freda Levy,
I am still in shock that you are not here anymore. I was supposed to see you Nov.11 for our routine 6 months catching up( my check-up) which is more of catching up on how my kids are doing, our parents are coping, and which places have we visited recently. The office cancelled my appointment three weeks ago for some emergency and I told them I will call back after Thanksgiving to re-schedule. I called back this morning and they told me you are gone. I don't know what to do. You had been my friend and doctor ever since you came to Methodist more than 25 years ago. Took very very good care of me, listened, and followed up on everything. We were talking about retirement on my last visit and we laughed so hard when I said you cannot retire ahead of me because I am older than you. I just wish I could have seen you and talked to you one more time. Rest my dear friend....Until we meet again.

To the Levy Family,
So terribly sorry to hear of Freda's passing. I so enjoyed our talks of her travels and her love for beautiful gemstones. It was my pleasure to make her feel beautiful and special in the short time I knew her. Many blessings to all who knew her.
