I’m so thankful for the time I got with you on this earth.  Having you in class and watching you lead and grow as a leader at NSHS was quite a sight.  Your strong will and personality is what so many of your peers admired about you.  I’m thankful for your hard work and constant “thank yous” each time we accomplished a project.  It never went unnoticed.  Students like you keep me coming to work each and every day.  You inspired me more than you know as your teacher and sponsor.  I’m so thankful knowing that you are an angel watching over so many.  How lucky we all are!

Words could never live up to the person Gabby was or what she meant to me. Gabby was the friend that was always there anytime you needed her, and displayed loyalty in a way no one else could. When she knew I was sad, she wouldn’t call or text me, she would drive directly to my house walk up the stairs to my room and do anything to make me smile no matter what she was doing. I’ve forever cherish our froyo dates, chilies dates, sprinting to the softball field laughing praying we wouldn’t have to pushups (we were always late), picking out our homecoming dresses together, getting our nails done, running for student government together making 200+ cupcakes, being on homecoming court, kicking booty in powderpuff (us being crazy competitive as always), jamming to Dixie chicks in the Jeep, TPing boys as our way of flirting, living in your dorm for a week sleeping in the tiny twin bed together, coming to your dorm so you could do my makeup before we went to bar night (you really did do it the best), the tailgates (gabby Dani and I dancing crazy), you teaching me how to snow ski and picking me up every time I fell, playing 7-11 around the campfire, convincing the bartender at MiCo to give you a marg on your 20th birthday, going to the lake, our tanning days when we would put a whole bottle on tanning oil on our bodies, all the forth of July/ Christmas Eve parties, laying in bed talking about anything and everything, and the list goes on. But most of all I’ll never forget the kind of heart you had. Gabby, you sure were a light to all us, and always loved. I will miss you forever, and I will make you proud. I love you so much Gabrielle.

Felix, Lindsey, Priscilla, Felix,,, Julian called me this morning on his way to the service. Both Peri and Julian thought I'd heard from the other. I have no words. All I know is that the Lord needed a very special angel and He chose an amazing beautiful girl. Y'all were/are family. I have cried in between work appointments all day. But we know where she is and the glory and joy she has for eternity.

We will all be together again. You and your entire family are in our prayers.

I taught Gabby in first grade at Country Place. I always think of my students at the age I taught them- to me, Gabby is forever 6. In class she was kind, loving, a hard worker, fun, and you could always tell how she felt by her expression! I remember mom dressing her so cute and that big ponytail. I think I was jealous of her hair! I also remember how sweet her family was and how supportive they were of each other. I’m praying that during the hardest season, you find comfort in God’s promises. I will never understand things this side of heaven, but I am trusting His goodness and promises that we will see Gabby again. I included our first grade class picture. We all look different, but the fond memories stay the same! My condolences to the entire Aguirre family.  You are in my thoughts and prayers today.  Love, Lisa Sims (Lisa Satagaj)

Dear Lindsay and Felix and Family,
It seems like it was only a few years ago that your Darling Gabby and Precious Priscilla would walk down to our house and ask if they could play with Kelley.    Your girls were always so happy and kind and loving, and we all just loved seeing them anytime. 
Kelley was in preschool then & had no friends that lived in our neighborhood, so he always looked forward to your sweet girls coming to see him!  Sometimes he just couldn’t wait, so we had to walk up to your house and see if they could come down and have “school” with him.  Kelley was just learning his ABC’s and 123’s and Gabby and Priscilla would be his “teachers” and help him with reading and writing and they would color with him. When Priscilla got older and wanted to spend more time with her friends, Gabby would come down to play with Kelley by herself.  I think Kelley was about 3, so Gabby must have been about 7 years old then.  Even though Gabby was just a little girl herself, it was quite obvious back then that she had the sweetest, most radiant little soul. You just couldn’t be around her without being happy.   

I remember much later when Gabby won Homecoming Queen.  I think I was sick so I, unfortunately, didn’t get to go, but Ned said the whole stadium just went crazy when Gabby won. It was very obvious that EVERYONE loved Gabby.  The next day, Ned put a sign out in our yard that said “Way to go, Gabby!”  When she saw it, she stopped and thanked us and it was so wonderful to see how happy she was. 

Her life was cut too terribly short, but during her time here on Earth, she brought so much light and love to everyone that she ever met. We are all better off having known her, and she will forever be in our hearts and memories.  She was an Angel on Earth; now she’s an Angel in Heaven that will always watch over you all. Our  prayers are with you during this heartbreaking time.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Gabby was a very fun loving young lady. Very thoughtful and looked out for others. She was in my first teaching class and coaching.  She was always upbeat and positive. Gabby you will be missed. But you have touched so many lives in such a amazing way!

The Aguirre family was my second family when I moved to Carrollton in 1995. Gabby was the first baby that I worked up the courage to hold…under the direct supervision of Lindsey. Watching her grow up from a baby to an amazing adult is a treasured memory and she will be terribly missed. Cherished memories of her will live forever and my sincerest condolences go to Lindsey, Felix and the rest of the family.


I keep thinking back to our trip to Belize summer of 2017. One of the best trips I had ever taken because of Gabby. From the minute we landed she was ready to take in everything Belize had to offer. We spent two weeks climbing Mayan ruins, zip lining in the jungle,cave tubing, and nights out dancing in the Island of San Pedro. Even though our trip was filled with so much excitement the night I keep thinking about was actually one of our last nights there. We stayed up laughing at all the crazy things we had done in the two weeks that we spent there, we decided that we were going to come back for a second round! Gabby enjoyed herself so much on the trip,my entire family loved having her there, and she truly made that one of the best trips ever. 
Now when I go to Belize it will always remind me of you Gabby❤️

I basically lived at the Aguirre house throughout high school and I watched Gabby grow into such a beautiful girl with the sweetest heart. always smiling when she walked through the door as I would yelled “gabby gabby gabby” in the most annoying voice. even though we didn’t talk much in the past year gabby commented on how I would be such a great mother to my son, she called me a “hot momma” her words exactly. she never failed to remind me how worthy I am. you will be dearly missed gabby, I am so glad I got to be a part of your journey here on earth. say hi to my sweet angel for me.

 Every happy childhood memory I have has you in it. Cousins are your first best friends. That couldn’t be more true. Every holiday at nanny’s. The nature walks. The treasures we’d find. The ring worm from nanny’s kitties we’d get 😄. I was in a hotel the other day and the smell of chlorine from an indoor pool nearly dropped me. That smell reminds me of every visit from the Aguirre’s. We’d stay at a certain hotel to swim and stay up late playing cards, sharing stories, making memories. Every water park vacation. You were there. Every fun amusement park vacation. You were there. In 6th grade we had to draw a picture of our “Happy Place” and write about why it was our place. I drew your house. How do you say goodbye to someone so special? You don’t. Your stories. I will tell my kids. Your personality. I will teach my kids. Your love. I will show my kids.

I always knew Gabby through Alex. She had practically lived at house all during elementary school. There was one day in particular that stands out. I think Gabby was in about 5th grade and her and Alex has come home and had brought their friend Jason over. Jason was this hilarious red headed kid that was always messing around and cracking jokes, when him and gabby got started it was a non stop laughing fest. On this day Gabby had convinced Jason to put on every piece of dress up clothing me and Alex owned. I have a picture in my room of little gabby posing next to Jason with him wearing a play skirt and this bright red  raggedy Ann wig Gabby had dug out and told him to put on. 
That’s the Gabby I had gotten to know. Just a fun hearted girl who knew what she wanted. Rest easy sweet Gabby. 

I met sweet Gabby when I moved in next door in 2004.  She and Priscilla used to help me plant flowers under my tree and would come to show me the latest dance they learned in school.  Two of the most adorable little personalities you could imagine.  And both turned out to be  such amazing and kind young women, obviously both were/are very loved as there were always plenty of friends sharing their lives at the house.

There simply are no words that can truly express how devastating it is to lose a child.  I feel such sadness for her loss.  I can only continue my prayers for the peace that passes all understanding to be with Lindsay and Felix and the family.  I know her sweet light will continue to shine upon you.  God bless you all.

Beautiful, beautiful Gabby! That little girl has been a bright spot in our lives so many times over the years.  She would always show up with a big smile, a hug and an enthusiastic "Hi, Mrs. Willie!"....she always remembered to call me by my new name, even when no one else did.    She was one of the most generous, passionate and thoughtful people I've ever known.  Always remembering birthdays, and always making the effort to do something special to honor the person and their day.  If I knew she was coming over, I would always try to have a batch of banana muffins baked....oh, how she loved those banana muffins.  We will surely miss her smiling face and witty sense of humor.  Felix and Lindsay, I pray for healing for your family and an eternity of peace and love for Gabby in her heavenly Father's arms.   

To the bereaved Aguirre family, me, Carla, and my son, TJ Melontree, would like to say that we a so so sorry for your loss of your princess. Our hearts are very weak right now and we extend our love to all of you. We have so many fun memories of Gabby that we will treasure always. I pray that God will to wrap his loving arms around each of you, continue to strengthen and show comfort during these difficult and trying times. Always remember to lean and depend on God.

If there’s one face that immediately comes to mind when I think about my childhood... it’s you, Gabby. We grew up together. And one of the qualities I most appreciated about our friendship was how easy it was to maintain. We didn’t have to talk every day, every month, or even every year; but when we did we both made it known that we loved and missed each other and expressed hope for bright futures.

We might not have always agreed, in fact, we frequently butted heads because we’re both very opinionated beings 😂 but that’s why everybody loved you. You made your presence and thoughts veryyyy known and left no room for question! You were such a strong, intelligent woman and never had any problem taking the lead. You WERE the life of the party! 

I think the reason every single person you encountered fell in love with you was because you made them feel seen, feel heard, feel appreciated. You were a people person and gave love without expecting anything back. I honestly can’t believe it. I am so shocked and can not even imagine what your family must be going through right now. Sending lots of love and light their way in hopes for peace and healing.
