She was born on June 17, 1938, to Ingram and Shirley Walker in Memphis, Texas.
Gail married Craig Simmons on December 17, 1961, in Cleburne, Texas. She was a graduate of Cleburne High School, attended SMU and was a graduate of The University of Texas with a double major in History and English. She was a member of Chi Omega and enjoyed many years as a member of The Dallas Women’s Club. She was very active in the Highland Park PTA and her home on Lake Cypress Springs in East Texas gave her a great getaway spot.
She is survived by her husband, Craig Simmons of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Leigh Simmons Fischer of Charlotte, North Carolina; son, Craig Simmons, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; brother, Robert Walker of Cleburne, Texas; 1 grandchild.
Private family services will be held.
