She attended Thomas Johnson High School in Hemphill, Texas and later held the position of Merchandise Packer at Neiman Marcus Department Store in Dallas before retiring. Gaylean loves the Lord and has been a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Rev. A. A. Todd, where she served as one of the Mothers of the Church for several years.
Family and friends will always remember her for her warm smile and arms that were always open to embrace, encourage and assist anyone that needed a helping hand.
In March 1976, Gaylean married the love of her life, Robert Jimmie Clack, Jr. Robert was a loving and devoted husband who stood by her side. They shared a beautiful life together along with fun memories while living in Dallas, Texas.
Gaylean was blessed to have three daughters and two sons; Jacqueline, Pamela, Cynthia, Bernard and Audrea.
On Monday, May 22, 2023, Gaylean Henson Clack entered into her eternal home of Glory. She was welcomed by her parents; a daughter, Pamela; her grandparents, and brothers Curtis Henson, Tommie Earl Henson, James Henson, and Roy Henson.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jimmie Clack, Jr.; four children, Jacqueline Elliott (Anderson), Cynthia Holmes (Ricky), Bernard Terry (LaTrice), and Audrea Terry; seven grandchildren, Brentsen Smith, Lawrence Thomas, Ryan Elliott, Jada Terry, Jordan Terry, Sterlynn Terry, and Crystal Terry; two great grandchildren, Kameryn Smith and Taryn Smith; five sisters, Arnell Smith, Bonnie Joiner, Emma Myers, Priscilla Polk, and Betsy Ann Billops; three brothers, Lester Henson, Jr., Herbert Wayne Henson, and Jimmy Charles Henson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
