My sympathy and condolences in the loss of George Charlton, one of Dallas' distinguished, generous and appreciated citizens.  It was my great good fortune and privilege to have the opportunity to work with him on the new Dallas Museum of Art.  I was saddened by the news report of his loss – a good friend.  I will miss him.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss...may you find comfort and strength in turning to God in prayer during this difficult time. - Psalm 65:2

My thoughts and prayers to you Barbara, Laura, Emily and Erik. "Uncle George" was the best Godfather. One of my dad's oldest and dearest friends, George made me feel like I had a dad in Dallas during my years at SMU. I'm sure he and Dad are already up to all kinds of mischief in heaven.  George will be dearly missed.

He was a well respected community leader and past Chairman of Goodwil Industries of Dallas.

George had such a full and productive life, leaving behind many who were touched by his love and generosity. The city of Dallas owes a great deal to his works and contributions. It was a privilege for me to have known him and shared memories of our common history. John Beaty
