George Glen Grimes

He was born on October 3, 1946 in Dallas, Tx to parents, Ellen Grimes and George Henry Grimes. He graduated from North Dallas High School in 1965 where he met his wife, Lana. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on August 10th.

George attended the University of North Texas and joined the USAF in April 1967. The 4 yrs he served in the military was a period of pride and commitment. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for Texas Kenworth Company in their offices in Dallas, Ft Worth, and Oklahoma City.

He was a devoted husband, father of two sons, Mark, wife Arlene, and Steven, wife Chelsea. His life was brightened by his three grandchildren, Brantley, Braelynn and Berkeley. He is survived by his sister, Glenna, husband Jim, sister-in-law Beverley Newman of Amarillo, and nieces and nephews.

He loved sports, bowling, fishing as well as having a special love for all animals.

His warmth, kindness, and smile touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the nurses at Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care. They will be "Forever in our Hearts!"
