George was above all a Christian man who devoted his heart to Jesus Christ at an early age and spent many years ministering and proclaiming salvation through repentance and belief in Christ. He was a hardworking, wonderful provider dedicated to his family who loved and adored him.
He spent the majority of his professional life in the automotive business where his natural gentle demeanor won him many friends and much success. His kindness and patience were an example to all who knew him.
He has been reunited with and was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as brothers John Wesley Townley, LT Townley and sister Carolyn Ann Wyant.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 62 years, Suetta Moore-Townley, sons Robert Wayne Townley and wife Kathy of Fort Worth, TX, Lonnie Dwayne Townley and wife Karen of Durant, OK, grandchildren Jasun Townley, Jaclyn Townley, Angel Townley and Michael Townley, as well as six great grandsons
