George Patrick Trotzuk

Pat’s life was defined by his devotion to his family. On February 27, 1944, Pat was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His family moved to Dallas when he was 12 years old, and they bought a house at 3608 Timberview Rd. Growing up, Pat attended St. Monica Catholic School and Thomas Jefferson High School. He had a passion for photography, and he graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography.

Pat met Mary Ann Murphy in Dallas, and they were married at St. Rita Catholic Church on January 31, 1970. Together they moved into 3608 Timberview Rd, and raised their four children. Pat worked for American Airlines in the reservations department for 25 years, and he loved his job along with the many traveling perks that came with it. He took his family to London, and his daughter, Anna, to Paris for her 16th birthday. One of his favorite things to do was to fly somewhere and bring back a treat to his family such as a loaf of sourdough bread from San Francisco or chocolate from Europe. Pat’s life revolved around his children and their life events. He was involved with scouting for decades, and was proudest of his three Eagle Scouts. Pat loved wood-working, grilling, baking, home improvements, and was active in the St. Monica Dad’s club as well as the Knights of Columbus.

When grandchildren came along, he loved to spend time as “the best PePaw ever.” He enjoyed reading with them while eating popcorn or having Blue Bell ice cream. Pat spent the last years of his life battling multiple illnesses, but he courageously fought those battles without ever complaining.

Pat is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, his children- Patrick Trotzuk (wife, Tracy), Matthew Trotzuk (wife, Candice), Anna Temple (husband, George Jr.), and Michael Trotzuk, grandchildren Mikey Trotzuk, Ryan Trotzuk, Caroline Trotzuk, Everett Trotzuk, Nolan Trotzuk, Mila Trotzuk, Cora Trotzuk and Bryce Ouellette. He is also survived by his sisters, Diane and Margaret Trotzuk, and preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Catlow.

He will be greatly missed.
