JERRY AND I GREW UP TOGETHER IN AUSTIN TEXAS. HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND AND FUN TO BE WITH. LOST CONTACT WITH HIM IN LATER YEARS BUT SURE HATED TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING.

I have known Jerry most of my life.  His father was a friend of my grandmother and Jerry was a friend of my father.  As I grew older Jerry also became good friends of my brother and I.  We have spent many hours "Shooting the breeze" and "Chewing the fat".  Jerry liked to talk and loved to laugh!
Jerry also liked knowledge.  He was probably the only person I ever knew that one could talk to intelligently about almost any subject.
Later in time Jerry would come to stay with us in Tennessee where we would talk until the cows came home.
I'm proud to say "Uncle Jerry" was my friend.  He will be greatly missed.

Just found out ,a true angel has litf this world to be with another family cant wait to see him again rest peace. Dr Gerald Mann you .will truiy be missed thank you,

I grew up in Austin, Texas with Jerry when his dad was Attorney General and later visited him in Dallas several times. Then just lost track. Sorry to hear of his passing. He was of the old school and his family were really great people. Best wishes to his wife and kids. They must be great folk too!!!

I have been going through old photos and ran across some with Jerry in them. My father had been Jerry Sr.'s campaign manager once upon a time, his name was Hirschie Johnson. Daddy had been a native of Texas, but we lived in the Washington D.C. area. Every several years we'd make a family trip to Texas and visiting the Mann's was always on the list. The photos I have are of a visit some time around 1951.  There are horses in the pictures with all of us and a "speckled" dog. There is  a young woman and I'm not sure if it is Lola or Jerry's wife. There is also a picture of Anna Mary and I couldn't remember her name, that's how I found this guest book, looking for her name to identify the photo. I'm putting the pictures in chronological order and have gotten up to 1952 so far but I know we have other pictures of our visits and rembember  having a crush on Jerry, he was so sweet and obviously made a big impression on a young girl of 5 or 6 years old. I am sorry for your loss I will always remember Jerry Jr. to be so handsome and kind. Sincerely Margaret Johnson

I chatted with Jerry a few times and we shared photos!  Delightful uncle- in-law, He was the brother of my mother is law, Lola Ann Mann who married my father Vernon Eugene Martin in 1984.  Dad used the alias Mike Striebel.  I am sorry he died!

I am so sorry for your loss.  I will always remember fun times with cousin Jerry, his jokes, his laughs, his upbeat outlook. Love to all in his family.

To Kay, Gerald, Barbara, I will always fondly remember your dad.  He was very good to me and Mother, especially after Dad died.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I did not know Jerry but we are fellow veterans of the Army Security Agency during the Korean War era.
