You taught me so much about life and how to truly love. It has taken me a few days to write something because I couldn't quite find the right words. I remember after I got sick what you told me well over a year ago, and that was that God wasn't ready yet to take you or me yet because at the time we needed each other so much so we could make it through that period in our lives, I really, really think that you knew in your heart of hearts that I needed you more than I needed you. You were always there for me when the pain seemed unbearable. And after talking with you it seemed I could go on a little bit more. You were the only one that really knew how much pain I was in physically and emotionally. I want to say THANK YOU and I tip my hat to you. I love you and I feel like Debbie that you were always my best friend. Well friend I know it doesn't always show but you did an excellent job. Mom I love you so much and always will. Happy trails to you until we meet again.

Aunt Gert was a wonderful person. I'm sure she's in heaven watching over everyone. I'm sorry I couldn't been at the funeral.  All the family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Grandma!

I don't know what I would have done without you in my life. You were always there for me and always knew how to make me feel better. You taught me how to make buttered noodles, how to whistle, how to set the dining room table, make a prayer book, and love the most awesome cowboy in all the Wild West, John Wayne! But most of all grandma, you taught me how to put others first. Something that I think always was overlooked with you was how you always put others before yourself. Whether it was your own kids, a friend, or even a complete stranger, you always knew how to extend a helping hand to someone. You had a heart of gold and I know that God only took you from us so he could have such a wonderful woman all to himself. You were the most amazing woman I have ever met and I want to thank you for everything that you did for me. You made this world a better place and I know that your a saint in my book. So every time I get the hic ups (epizudicks), every time I watch a John Wayne film, and every time I play kings corner or solitare, I'll think of you :) I love you grandma and I wish that I could have been there at the end, but I promise ill live my life in such a way that you would be proud of me.

Rest in peace mama. As we are sadden to say good bye we know deep down it's until we meet again. We are comforted to know you are no longer sick and are pain free.

Aunt Gert, our loss is certainly heaven's gain. I'll be celebrating your beautiful life with you tomorrow as I say many prayers with you, Uncle Hermey and the kids. I'll be remembering the trips you took me on to Turner Falls and I'll never forget the day you and Lisa Ann made me sit through 3 showings of Star Wars. You have always been such a fun and generous Aunt to me and my family. I truly thank you and will miss you until I see you again.  Please tell Sister JoAnne I said hello.
