She was currently a member of Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney, Texas where she had been an active member of the women's ministry W.O.W. group. Her hobby was embroidery and she has given hundreds of embroidered items to family and friends over the years. Her favorite pastime was reading and studying her Bible and praying, she was a mighty prayer warrior. To know her, was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
Gertrude had many names, Wife, Mama, Sister, Auntie, Friend, Grandma and Great mommie and she held each one in high esteem. She loved her grandchildren like no other and prayed for them without ceasing. Our family will never be the same, but we are thankful for every moment we had and love to think of her reunion with her beloved Jimmy and meeting Jesus face to face.
