Gloria O’Brien, 67, of Dallas, Texas went to be with Our Lord and Savior on December 5, 2021. Gloria was born in Marlin, Texas on April 26, 1954 to the late Willie and Celia Rojas. They moved to Dallas in 1955 where she lived the rest of her life. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe L. O’Brien of 50 years of marriage; son and daughter in law, Willie R. and Adriana O’Brien; son Geraldo O’Brien; grandson Willie R. O’Brien Jr.; her late grandson Thomas O’Brien, her late brother Daniel Rojas Sr., sisters Margaret Martinez, Ofelia Rodriguez and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Gloria met and married her junior high school sweetheart, Joe L. O’Brien and the two just celebrated their 50th anniversary in January. She and Joe enjoyed spending time together going to the movies and estate sales on Saturday mornings. Her favorite past time was spending time with the family and playing loteria. Above all, she loved her husband, sons and grandson more than anything in her life. They were her world and she would do anything for them.
Gloria was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, tia and friend to many. She loved the Lord wholeheartedly and enjoyed taking care of children and elderly. She had a heart of gold and a spirit of serving others. She always put others before herself. She was the true meaning of living a life of service and treating others as you would want to be treated. Gloria’s legacy of loving life, helping others and living your best life now lives on in everyone who was blessed to know her. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace with our Lord Jesus Christ our beloved Gloria.
