Gloria was the youngest daughter of Irving and Bessie King of New York and grew up during and throughout the aftermath of WWII. Shortly after marrying her love, Harold S Young, they moved to Texas to start their new life and raised their adopted daughters. Gloria was known for her caring and devotion to helping others. She volunteered for Jewish Family Services for over 20 years. In her younger years she was a very accomplished artist.
Gloria is survived by her daughters Robin Johnston and Edin Loria; son-in-law Ernie Loria; grandchildren Sarah Leckman, James Moon, Ivy Trent Hunter, Adrian Kuykendall, Heather and Bryan Geoghan; and great-grandchildren Zev McColley, Katie Leckman, Alex Leckman, Kennedy Kuykendall, Tyler Geoghan, Brooklyn Kuykendall and Brody Geoghan.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Sunday, Nov. 14th, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you consider planting a tree in Gloria‘s memory or donating to the Jewish Family Service food pantry.
