Gregorio Davila

Gregorio Davila, 87, passed away on March 31, 2026. Born on March 2, 1939, Gregorio was born and raised in Camargo Tamaulipas Mexico and later lived in Dallas, Texas. After this introduction, Gregorio will be remembered by many as “Papi Pollo.”

Papi Pollo was with his wife, Rosa Davila, since 1958. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosa and by his daughter Isabel. He leaves behind six children: Maria, Jaime, Sylvia, Anna, Gregorio, and Marybel, along with 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A devoted husband, wonderful dad, and loving grandpa, Papi Pollo built a life centered on family and the simple, meaningful joys of everyday living. He found happiness in gardening, playing accordian, cooking, and following Football, Soccer, and Boxing. He especially delighted in spoiling his grandchildren and spending time playing with Marionetas.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to his children and grandchildren for their love, care, and support.

“We love you and thank you for being the best Dad and best ‘Papi Pollo’. We could'nt have asked for a better Father. Thank you for all the wonderful years you gave us.”

Gregorio Davila, de 87 años, falleció el 31 de marzo de 2026. Nacido el 2 de marzo de 1939, Gregorio nació y se crio en Camargo, Tamaulipas, México, y más adelante vivió en Dallas, Texas. Después de esta introducción, muchos recordarán a Gregorio como “Papi Pollo”.

Papi Pollo estuvo con su esposa, Rosa Davila, desde 1958. Le precedieron en la muerte su esposa Rosa y su hija Isabel. Deja a seis hijos: Maria, Jaime, Sylvia, Anna, Gregorio y Marybel, además de 19 nietos, 30 bisnietos y 1 tataranieto.

Esposo dedicado, padre maravilloso y abuelo cariñoso, Papi Pollo construyó una vida centrada en la familia y en las alegrías sencillas y significativas de la vida cotidiana. Encontraba felicidad en la jardinería, en tocar el acordeón, en cocinar y en seguir el fútbol americano, el fútbol y el boxeo. Disfrutaba especialmente consentir a sus nietos y pasar tiempo jugando con Marionetas.

La familia expresa su más sincero agradecimiento a sus hijos y nietos por su amor, cuidado y apoyo.
