Condolences to LTC Gregory Morgan and Family. From time to time, I would run into, Then, as I knew him, Captain Morgan from HHC 154th Battalion, Panama in Dallas, downtown. I worked for the Department Of Aviation, for the City of Dallas, Love Field Airport, and lived in Bedford, Texas.  The first time 
I  met Capt Morgan was at Fort Benning, Georgia, home of the Infantry.  Leadership was natural for this great man. I just learned today, Memorial Day, 31 May, 2021 of his passing. Rest in Peace, Sir. Slow hand Salute.

It was only this week that my co-workers and I found out about Greg's passing. I didn't know him as well as some of the others, but I remember him as a fun yet hard-working person. I knew he had been in the military, but I never knew the extent of his education and accomplishments. That was because Greg was a very humble man who didn't try to bring attention to himself. He is missed by all who knew him as the kind-hearted person he was. I pray for his family, and that Greg will rest in eternal peace.

To the Morgan family.  I am so sorry to only now hear about Greg.  I was his manager at the IRS.  Greg was the best.  He was the kindest, gentlest soul.  He did an awesome job, loved training new people, and could always be counted on.  I am just a few months older than Greg and I can't believe that he is gone.  He always had an infectious smile and he will sorely be missed.  You all have my deepest sympathy.

Sending my deepest sympathies to the Morgan family. I had the pleasure of working at IRS with Greg. He was one of the few lights in a dark place and his smile radiated throughout the day. I had the pleasure of receiving his kindness and could always count on Greg for an encouraging word! He will be truly missed at work! 

LTC.Morgan and I shared duties in the 4/6 Inf. Regt at Ft. Polk, La. He was a great leader and an awesome soldier. We both deployed to operation just cause in Panama. He will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends. God speed!!❤❤

I met Greg when I transferred to Millwood High School for my senior year in high school.  He was one of the kindest and most thoughtful individuals I have ever known. Very shocking to hear and my condolences and prayers go out to your family.  I first met Greg during "Beast Barracks" back in the Summer of 1980.  He had that infectious smile which drove the upperclassman crazy as they try to break him down.  But Greg is a man of tremendous faith and all of the yelling never fazed him. I got to know Greg our during our plebe year at West Point.  I remember that he was always smiling even under challenging conditions.  He was selfless, empathetic, and a great teammate.  I regret that I did not have the opportunity to stay in contact over the years, but want his family to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Greg was a fine man.  And I hope that, over time, fond memories will overcome your sorrow and sense of loss.

Greg and I  spent a lot of time together as cadets in H1. We were two very different people, who over the years formed a mutual respect and friendship. Sometimes it took me a while, but I could finally get Greg to laugh. That's the memory I have now: telling Greg a story and watching his face change from serious to smiling and finally to laughing.  He had such a wonderful laugh.

There is nothing I can possibly write to make this easier. When I heard Greg had passed, it all came rushing back. I was lucky enough  to room with him at West Point. He would  demonstrate great character and discipline, but not beat you about the head with it. In fact, I am confident he helped keep me straight enough to graduate. I was so saddened to hear of Greg's passing.  He was a great friend and roommate at USMA.   Although time passes and friends lose touch, he was in my mind many times over the years and my memories are fond ones always.     I'm so sad to hear of Greg's passing.  He was a role model and at the same time a delightful person to hang out with.  No matter the situation, Greg would cheer everyone up with a positive word and an irrepressible smile.  Charlette and his family will be in our prayers as we share their grief.

I really don't know where to begin.  Greg and I grew up together in Oklahoma City.  We were classmates and friends from fifth grade onward.  He was consistent in his kindness, thoughtfulness, demeanor, patience, helpfulness, etc.  He was a friend to everyone and the epitome of a gentleman. Greg and I were childhood friends and classmates.  Of all the superlatives I could use to describe him, the one that immediately comes to mind is "honorable."  I can't think of anyone in our class who didn't hold Greg in the highest esteem:  a bright, kind gentleman who considered everyone a friend -- but would take no prisoners on the chessboard!  Not only were we frequent study partners in high school, but I have considered myself privileged to have been counted among his tight circle of friends.  During his military service, we were often out of touch for years at a time; however, whenever our paths crossed -- typically at high school reunions -- we transitioned easily into the rapport we developed from the time when he lived around the corner from me (47th Street).  Your service to our country will be appreciated always; your service to your fellow humans will be treasured always.  Peace and blessings, my friend; rest well.

Greg was the type who left you with a favorable impression not because he was loud, but specifically because he was not.  Despite not having seen him since our days at West Point, my immediate memory upon hearing his sad news was that we've lost one of the kindest, warmest, most genuine classmates we had.  I pray that God will bless him and bring comfort to his family.

Greg was a company mate of mine in H1 at West Point.  There was no finer friend, or soldier.  His infectious smile and positive attitude  were shared on many occasions.  Always looking to try to help, always being there when needed.  I haven't seen Greg for many years, but my thoughts often turned to  him.   My sincerest condolences to the the entire family. Greg was well respected by everyone.  He was inspirational in Ranger school as a member of class 3-85 "Ice Cold Charlie".  I ran into him next as an army captain after the 5th ID moved from Fort Polk and reflagged as 2AD at Fort Hood.  He wore a 7ID right shoulder patch from his first combat tour in Panama.  After he retired from the army, I would see him again as a DA Civilian serving in III Corps G3 at Fort Hood.  His smile was infectious and his personality was larger than life.  We were all blessed to know  this warrior, friend and family man.  May God bless his family.

I knew Greg at school and at Infantry and Ranger School afterwards. Greg was my Ranger buddy in the beginning of the course and squad mate the entire time. He kept everyone going with his hard work and optimism. My sincerest condolences on the loss of such a fine man. He will be missed; his memory lives on. BOTC. RTLW.

I don't think I've seen Greg since USMA; we weren't company mates and in different branches in the Army.  But due to sharing surnames, we were often near or next to each other at mandatory class events.  He was simply one of the nicest fellows you could ever hope to meet.  So sorry to hear of his death.

I did not cross paths with Greg since USMA (wow... almost 40 yrs) but we DID have classes and field training together there.  Greg ALWAYS had a great sense of humor and outlook.  Seemed like nothing fazed him.  If some obstacle knocked him down, he'd just say "oh, well" and get back up keep going.
