Grover Cleveland Stanford, Jr. Born October 20, 1918 in Birmingham, Alabama to Grover and Sarah Stanford, passed away October 7, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. Grover is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Stanford and wife of 55 years, Hope Hale Stanford. Survivors include: loving wife of 9 years, Mavis Reddick Stanford; niece, Nancy Smith and husband Grady; nephew, Bob Hale. Grover served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and then graduated from SMU. He was a long-time business owner with service stations in the Casa View and Casa Linda areas, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. The family would like to thank all his special caregivers, Sarah, Andrea, Veronica, Alexia, Angel and Jean. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, October 8, 2013, 6:30 until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
