

Tom was born February 27, 1926 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Horace T. Orr Sr. and Carol Outland Orr. He passed away October 30, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Tom served in the US Air Force during WWII. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Tom worked for Texas Instruments as manager of business development services and retired after 35 years. He was a photographer and owned his own photography company called Color Candids. He was also a saxophone player and played with area bands including the Tommy Dorsey Band.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Lauren Clair. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marleeta Orr; daughters and their husbands, Linda & Jim Decuir, Nancy Miller, Diane & Chris Clair, Beverly & Mike Whealy, and Judy & Archie Busbee; grandchildren, Lisa Schrakamp, James Decuir, Andrea Khoury, Crystelle Markley, Ryan Clair, Alex Whealy, Ty Whealy, Hunter Busbee and Madeline Busbee; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Orr and wife Marjorie; 1 niece and 3 nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm with a Rosary prior at 1:30 pm, Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd. Rowlett, TX 75088. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
