OBITUARY

Harold Colburn Krecek

November 22, 1919May 14, 2020

Harold Colburn Krecek, 100 years of age, was born November 22, 1919 in Dallas, Texas and was presented his “angel wings” and entered Heaven on May 14, 2020 at 3:30 a.m. His beloved wife Doris, along with his children and grandchildren were at his bedside. He loved the Lord and would pray and talk to Him every day giving thanks for all his blessings and his family. He often asked his family “do you really know how much I love you?” He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church for many years. During World War II, Harold proudly served his country for four years in the Army-Air Force in Australia. After leaving the service, he met Doris LaVelle Wright, his soulmate, and on March 10, 1946 they began their life together. This past March, they celebrated “74” years of marriage. Harold was an independent meat distributor associated with his brother’s meat packing plant, “Jack’s Meat Service,” for 40 years. After he sold his business at the age of 55, he worked for Home Interiors and Gifts for another 10 years. He loved to fish at Lake Texoma with his family, hunt with his sons and brothers, was a good bowler and loved tending to his garden. The memories that Harold (Dad and Gramps) left for Doris, his children, grandchildren, family and friends will forever be etched in their hearts. His love, wonderful laugh, silly jokes and funny sayings will be talked about for years to come. Those left to always cherish his precious memories include: Wife and the “Love of his Life” Doris Krecek; Children: Harold & wife Chris Krecek, LaVelle & husband Ernest Mays, Richard & wife Janette Krecek, Donna & husband David Nobra, Frank (deceased) and wife Toni Krecek.
