She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend ,as well as a worthy opponent to everyone who knew and loved her. Born in Dallas, Texas, on November 4th, 1943, to Harry & Lillian Rosenthal, Harriet was a lifelong business woman with a passion for politics and philanthropy.
She graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1961 and has remained an active member of her alumnae committee. After attending the University of Texas, she met and married Al Plaskoff in 1966. A true blue multi-generational Texan, Harriet spent most of the next couple of decades working on behalf of local political campaigns and donating her time to the American Cancer Society, for which she was recognized by the city of Dallas.
Harriet was always entrepreneurial, owning her own holiday meats business since the late 60s. Later, Harriet founded HP Enterprises, which was recognized with multiple small business awards. She also acted as a small business advisor Dallas Metropolitan SBDC. Harriet met Alasdair Seth in the late 1990s and they married in 2005. Alasdair remained a loving and supportive partner, as well as her main caregiver, along with trusted assistant Amanda Baumer, for the last several years.
Harriet was most proud of her 2 children, Lauran Plaskoff Weiner (Steve) and Bart Plaskoff (Melissa) as well as her 5 grandchildren Hudson, Parker & Annabelle, Chloe and Sophie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Bette Lee.
The graveside service will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 9:00am.
