Harry Joseph (Joe) Collins, Sr. born November 29, 1928 and passed away December 9, 2013. God saw the road was getting rough, the hill were hard to climb. He gently closed your loving eyes and said "Peace Be Thine." Joe passed away peaceful at home with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his only son, Harry Joseph Collins Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 yeas, Estelle (Pedi) Collins, daughters Laura Collins, Carolyn Ancy, Kathleen & Doug Vaden, Mary Fresquez, Kellie & Patrick Stramel, 12 grand children and one great granddaughter. Joe graduated from Jesuit High School and Spring Hill College. He was very proud of his Jesuit association. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. Joe always put Jesus Christ first in his life. He was a caring husband and wonderful father. Joe was an avid golfer who always had a joke to tell.

Mass of Christian of Burial 10:00 am, Friday 12-13-2013, St Thomas Catholic Church, 6306 Kenwood Ave, Dallas 75214. Very Rev. John Libone, Celebrant.

Interment, Restland Memorial Park, Dallas. U.S. Marines Honor Guard presentation. The family will greet friends at a reception immediately following the burial at the Knight of Columbus, 10110 Shoreview Rd. Dallas, 75238.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or to support the work of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, PO Box 302 Maryknoll, NY 10545 or in memory of Rev Denis O'Brien MM.

Laura my Sincerest Condolences to you and your Family. I remember our St Pius Days when I would go over to your house on Cotillion and see your Parents, they were always so Nice. You are the Best Daughter your Parents could ever ask for! And in your Fathers final Day's, you were there by his side. May you cherish the Moments and Memories of your Wonderful Father always.
