

Harvey Alan Weintraub, age 72, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2021. He was born in Yonkers, New York, on October 18, 1948. Harvey graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers and attended Albany University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. He obtained his certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist at the Rochester General Hospital School of Medical Technology. Harvey enjoyed a long career in the health care industry working in R&D for Abbott Laboratories, Diagnostics Division.
Harvey’s passions were numerous and included: music, cooking, reading, restoring his old Karmann Ghia, building models and caring for his salt-water fish tank. However, his greatest passion was spending time with his baby girl, Julianne. He especially loved performing with her in “Dad’s dances”. Harvey was known for his quick wit and loved making others laugh.
Harvey was predeceased by his father, Jules Weintraub and his mother, Sylvia Klein Weintraub. He is survived by his son, Jeremy Weintraub, his daughter, Julianne Weintraub, his sister, Muriel Molnar, his brother- in-law, Ron Molnar, best friend, Marilyn Weintraub, his beloved labradoodle, Rosie, and many other cherished neighbors, friends and family members.
May we all remember Harvey for his smile, laughter, creativity and inspiring presence in our lives.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at 2pm, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas (7405 W Northwest Highway). An event to celebrate the life of Harvey will be held at a future time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harvey’s honor to the FRAXA Research Foundation or the Myeloma Crowd Research Initiative in Harvey’s honor.
