Our great aunt Helen was indeed a great aunt. It was a treat to get her to share one of her stories whenever we were fortunate to visit with her. I admired her ability to speak her mind and how comfortably independent she was. We will miss the family get-togethers with her. Love you!

I always loved Aunt Helen and her funny, amazing stories! She was always a role model in her strength and independence. My favorite thing to do when I was young was when my grandmother, Ruth, her sister, would take me out to Helen’s to pet her horses.  I wish I had been able to get to know her better. I will miss her. This beautiful woman has held a special place in my heart since I was 18 years old.  I met Helen working on Kelly St., at SWBT.  She instantly took me under her wing and taught me so much.  She gave me the great honor of wearing her pearls on my wedding day as my something borrowed.  I regret that I  haven't seen her in person in years, but remained friends by phone calls and letters over the last 40 years.  She will remain in my heart forever.  Rest in peace beautiful friend!  I love you!!
