Henri "Skip" Bromberg, III

Beloved husband and father, Henri Louie “Skip” Bromberg, III, passed away peacefully in his home from complications of Parkinson’s Disease on February 5, 2022. Skip was a third generation Dallasite born on October 25, 1946, to Henri Louie Bromberg, Jr. and Janice (Mayer) Bromberg. He attended St. Mark’s School and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. Skip graduated from Northwood Institute in 1971, earning a degree in business. He worked at Northpark National Bank for 22 years as a Loan Officer and achieved the title of Senior Vice President. Skip also met his future wife, Sharon Blake, and made many lifelong friends during his career at the bank. After retiring, he managed the Bromberg Family Partnership.

Skip is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sharon Blake Bromberg; their daughter, Jennifer Blake Bromberg; and his loyal cat, Miss Marilyn Monroe, who he loved to visit with daily. He is also survived by his cousins, John Bromberg (Beth), Spence Bromberg, Whitney Hawkings (Pete), Kemp Bromberg (Maggie), and Campbell Bromberg (Autari), Anne Bromberg; sister-in-law, Nan Leavell (Bill); niece, Lauren Pinkston (Justin); and nephew, Wyatt Leavell (Claire).

Skip kept everyone entertained with his great sense of humor. He loved talking about his wonderful childhood memories with his cousin, John Bromberg, and the special memories he made over the years with Sharon and Jennifer. Skip adored his daughter and spent many hours watching the US Gymnastics and the US Soccer teams together. He also loved traveling, fine dining and Mercedes cars. Skip was a devoted University of Texas and Dallas Cowboys football fan. Football season was definitely his favorite time of the year.

We would like to thank his wonderful caregiver, Tracey Edwards, RN, who managed his care for the last two years, and for her true dedication to the Bromberg family. Many thanks to our loyal and dedicated house manager, Marcella Ortega. Thank you to Kristen Walton for the inspiration and care she gave to him as his Physical Therapist. Skip looked forward to her visits and his time in his natatorium. We want to thank his team of nurses, Phanh Flores, RN, Jennifer Hunter, RN, Joey Peterman, RN, Danielle Stevens, RN, Tigest Teshome, CNA, and Jennifer Williams, LVN. A very special thank you to Nancy Sweeney, RN, for being there during Skip’s decline and his last days.

Funeral services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas, on February 16, 2022, at 2:30 PM, with Rabbi David Eli Stern officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Skip’s life at the Bromberg home following the services.
