Henrietta Barbara Rocha

Henrietta Barbara Rocha, age 94, passed away on July 15, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1931, in Pilot Point, Texas. A resident of Garland, Texas, Henrietta lived a life marked by steady devotion to family, faith, and a calling to care for others.

Henrietta graduated from Pilot Point High School and went on to receive her Registered Nursing Degree from St. Paul Hospital Nursing School. Her professional life reflected a quiet strength and deep sense of responsibility, most notably through her career in nursing with Dr. Edwin Harrison, OB/GYN, where her skill and steadfast presence were valued by those she served.

On March 29, 1967, Henrietta married Richard Rocha Jr. In the years that followed, she built a life grounded in commitment and enduring love, offering constancy and care to those around her.

Henrietta was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, Texas. She found joy in the simple, sustaining pleasures of daily life—gardening and cooking, true crime shows, crossword puzzles, and cheering on the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.

Henrietta is survived by her husband, Richard Rocha Jr., her children, John Rocha and wife, Amanda; Richard Rocha III and his wife Patti; Maria Miranda; and Nylvia Rocha Holland; grandchildren Branden and Ashley Rocha, Cole Rocha, Alec Rocha, Payton Schaefer and Em Schaefer, Stephanie Rebecca Rocha, Martina Moore, Henrietta Juarez, William Madgeson, Andrew Madgeson, Lindsay Smith and Dustin Belk; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Amelia "Emma" Strittmatter, and brothers George "Buddy" Strittmatter and Robert Strittmatter.

A visitation will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.

The Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 9:30 AM in the chapel of Sacred Heart Cemetery, 3900 Rowlett Rd, Rowlett, TX 75088. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment also at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
