In Loving Memory of Henry J. Davis
Henry J. Davis was born on March 4, 1945 in Marshall, TX, to the parentage of John and Della Franklin Davis. He was the 12th of twelve siblings. Henry made a living in the construction business since the age of sixteen, retiring after 50 years from TXI. He had a huge passion for being with his family. He enjoyed his football team the Dallas Cowboys and playing dominoes. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Chantel Brightman; five sisters, Annie Ree, Velma Jean, Paula Ree Davis, Della Brightman and Alice Johnson and three brothers, Raymond, Ossie and Walter B. Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife of 54 years, Lula Ray Littleton-Davis; from this union two children were born Laveda (Larry) Bailey of Dallas, TX and Hendrick Jason (Antainette) Davis of Arlington, TX. One grandson, Jeremiah Sowell; three brothers, Thearthur Davis, Sherman (Zeola) Davis of Dallas and Allen Davis of Fort Worth, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Henry will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Laurel Land Mem Park - Dallas, 6300 S. R.L. Thornton Frwy., Dallas, TX 75232.
