Hilory Pearson passed away April 6, 2013. He started life the youngest of 5 children of Dolly and Marvin Pearson in Tyler, Texas. He graduated from John Tyler High School at the age of 15 years old and began working in the East Texas Oilfields near Tyler. He decided that education was a noble endeavor so he graduated from the North Texas State University. He joined the U.S. Air Force and achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He returned to Texas after his service in the Air Force, and obtained a job at Atlantic Oil Company. He remained there during the growth of Atlantic Oil/ Atlantic Richfield and retired with Arco Oil and Gas Company in 1992. He is survived by his loving wife Betty J. Pearson of Dallas, TX; sons Walter M. Pearson of Spartenburg, NC and Kenneth W. Pearson of Fernandina Beach, FL; and brother Rice R. Pearson of Bella Vista, Arkansas. Services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 pm, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
