I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My mother was Idarene (Hill) Farmer; she was born in Bray, Oklahoma, just outside Marlow in 1929. She always told me her mother had gotten her name from a lady she knew in Marlow; I always thought she was named after an adult, but clearly my grandmother was inspired by this little girl's name!

There aren't very many Idarenes in this world; I'm happy to have found my mom's name-inspiration.

Best to you all.

Idarene had the gift of making a warm personal connection with any who had a conversation with her and making them feel special. I will keep that fond memory from knowing her and seeing she passed that gift on to her children.

To the Glick family:

May your treasured memories and the drawing close to God in prayer comfort you. Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.

Ida was the last great friend of Nancy Jane Sanderlin Powers before she died February 2013.
They met about 25 years ago at a Lovers Lane weight watchers meeting. They became fast friends and looked forward to visiting or talking for the remaining years. I am sure the journals Nancy kept had stars on them the day she saw or visited with Ida. I enjoyed connecting them when sshe called 214-348-4348.
