Ignacio Ozuna was born on December 18, 1932 in Edinburg, Texas and passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was married to Dominga G. Ozuna and they shared 66 loving years of marriage. Ignacio was a resident of Dallas, Texas since 1963 and a member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church. Early in life, Ignacio worked as a migrant worker across the United States, then began working as a crane operator for Atlas Scrap Iron and Metal where he remained for 35 years. Ignacio enjoyed spending time with family and friends, experiencing the growth of his grandsons from babies to young men, listening to Tejano/Spanish music, and taking road trips.
Ignacio is survived by: his wife Dominga G. Ozuna of Dallas, Texas; his son Ignacio Ozuna Jr. of Dallas, Texas; his daughter and her husband, Irene Ozuna-Moreno and Andrew Moreno of Rowlett, Texas; his grandchildren, Simon Ozuna, Gabriel Moreno, and Alex Moreno; his siblings, Guadalupe Ozuna of Mission, Texas and Juanita Olea of Dallas, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents Jose Ozuna and Eliodora Ozuna; his brothers, Ramon Ozuna, Alfonso Ozuna, and Jose Ozuna; his sisters, Aurora Salinas and Gloria Ozuna; and his son Ismael G. Ozuna.
Visitation will be held on January 24, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 25, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, 1054 N St Augustine Dr, Dallas, TX. Committal Service will be held on January 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX.
