Irene M. Patterson

Irene Margaret Patterson arrived on this earth January 5, 1917 and left this earth on January 28, 2012 to be with her Lord. Irene is survived by her son Alan Patterson of Garland, TX, daughter and son-in-law Laura and Ronald Fendley of Rockwall, TX and daughter Pamela Crump of Garland, TX. Six grandchildren Ron Fendley,Jr., Melissa Fendley, Haley Adams, Jacob Patterson, Christopher Crump and Jeremy Crump. Three great-grandchildren Kirsten Fendley, Marcus Fendley and Devyn Fendley. A few nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.

Irene met and married Clyde Patterson on December 25, 1946 who proceeded her in death on January 16, 1985.

Irene attended church in her early years at Mt. Auburn Assembly of God in Dallas where she raised her children and when it moved attended Souls Harbor Church in Oak Cliff, then Calvary Temple in Irving and finally Church on the Rock in Rockwall. She loved to go to church, but in her later years had to watch church on the television. During her 95 years of life , she never lost her faith in God. She was the rock of her family and friends, always there when someone needed a prayer or just needed to talk.

Mom we love you very much. Thank you for teaching us the true values in life and for being there for us during life’s ups and downs always looking on the bright side of things. Thank you for your beautiful smile, your warm hugs and all those kisses. Thank you for your unconditional love that you shared with everyone. Enjoy all the rewards God has for you because you deserve them. We will miss you.

Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, 1-31-12 and Funeral services 1 p.m. Wednesday, 2-1-12 both at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
