Jack was a longstanding member of the Cedar Hill Church of Christ for over 35 years, and everyone knew him as a faithful, friendly, and welcoming greeter of worshipers every Sunday. Jack loved this ministry, and his presence will be greatly missed in this vital role at the Cedar Hill church. He had a loving servant heart for doing the Lord’s work and participated in jail ministry, nursing home ministry, serving communion to the home-bound members, and many other good deeds.
Jack had unconditional love for his wife, Milla Jean and his family. He enjoyed traveling to the Arkansas mountains with Mille Jean. He is adored by his children and grandchildren and was always ready with a “Grand Dad joke” to keep the family smiling. He was a Christian role model for his family and others and served as the “Family Patriarch” who expected high moral standards.
He was a man of faith who truly walked the talk. He read the Bible every day and loved to sit on the porch and greet his neighbors as they walked past his house.
