Swanson, Jack Gordon Passed away peacefully on June 24, 2010. He was born in Dallas, TX on October 24, 1925 to Frank V. and Idell Adleta Swanson. He graduated from Highland Park High School and The University of Texas-Austin. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was honorably discharged. He worked as a geophysicist and retired from Teledyne Geotech. He is survived by his loving family, wife Linda, son Erik Swanson and wife Tami of Dallas, son Peter Quigley-Swanson and wife Ann Marie of Houston, daughter Suzanna Swanson of Dallas; 2 grandchildren Brandt and Emma Swanson of Houston, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home in Dallas on Thursday, July 1 at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders or UT Southwestern Medical Center.
