Jacqueline Yvonne Wilks entered eternal rest on November 27, 2020 in Duncanville, TX. Jackie was born on May 15, 1930 in Nice, France and came to New York with her family in 1934. After living there and Miami, FL, they settled in Dallas and she attended Urseline Academy. She loved her school friends and began her love of dancing that she must have inherited from her mother. Jackie later attended Texas Woman’s University and studied Art and Design. Short of completing college, she began work in downtown Dallas. She became a member of the Vincentian club at Holy Trinity Church and met her future husband Edward Wilks. They married October 3, 1953. They raised 2 children, Bobby and Cindy and was married to Ed until his passing in May 2005. Jackie attended and was a member of Holy Spirit Church and loved taking part in her Brave Women’s group and their luncheons. Every year, she opened up her home and backyard to Cindy’s friends who loved her. She was surrounded with love on Thanksgiving by a number of them along with Bobby and Cindy. Jackie had a love of watercolor classes by cousin, David Dryer as well as her love of chats on politics and spirituality with her lady friends. Jackie is survived by her son, daughter and nieces, Karen Berryman and Mary Ann Hayes and nephew Ken Notter and her great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday December 3, 2020 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home from 1:00 – 5:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor at Holy Spirit Church – Duncanville, TX on Friday December 4, 2020 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery – Dallas, TX.
