Our Dad, a brother amongst 7 siblings was born in Bombay (now Mumbai) India on February 21, 1931. He grew up there attending school and University of Bombay where he was an avid cricket player. Always out for adventure he served in the Indian Armed forces, flew planes and even did a stint as a jockey. In the late 50’s he departed for his longest adventure - ‘'a temporary move'’ to England to complete his Engineering education. There he met his wife and our mother Christa-Vera (deceased 1998). Juggie as he was known by his nearest and dearest – was destined to remain in blighty and established a successful career with BOAC/British Airways in the Cargo dept enabling more adventures and travels to many countries and continents. In the 80’s Dad started a new journey interpreting for the Police – speaking 8 different eastern languages he was always proudest of his work and achievements at Scotland Yard until his full retirement in in the late 90’s. He had a passion for flying small planes, an avid golfer and never missed a quick flutter on the horses – the Grand National and the Kentucky Derby were non-negotiable TV time.
