Jahn Martin Toole, 26, of Dallas, TX, passed on April 25, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. He was a loving son, grandson, nephew & cousin to family around the world. He was an engaging, fun-loving, generous brother to his fellow alums from Christ the King (2003) Jesuit High School (2007) & Kansas University (BA, Communications 2011). Jahn will be missed by friends, colleagues and patients whose lives he touched at Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Hospital
where he worked for the past 2 years. Jahn discovered a passion for medicine after college. His passion led him to enroll in post-baccalaureate classes to fulfill the requirements for a graduate program in medicine. His zeal was rewarded with straight A’s and high hopes for admission to a PA program next year. Jahn was gifted and multi-talented. Many of his close friends and relatives knew him as an excellent musician: guitar, keyboards and songwriter. His first loves were AC/DC and Phish, but he was every bit as comfortable playing the classics on the piano. Others remember him as an outstanding athlete who played several sports at Christ the King and Jesuit, and as a hair-raising skate and snow boarder. He was proud of his outstanding golf swing, crafted at Brookhaven Country Club, and spent time on the links with his father on the weekends. Survivors include his parents, Marty and Vivian Toole, Grandmother and Grandfather Christina and Henry Stiemerling, and the love of his life and future wife, Sarah Elizabeth Gatens, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Jahn will be deeply missed by his loving dog Grover and his cats, Basil and Railroad, whom he adopted in a Kansas shelter. To honor his love of pets and in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to “A Different Breed”, 11700 Preston Road #660, PMB 335 Dallas, TX 75230. Family and friends may gather for a Visitation on Thursday evening, April 30, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be at noon Friday, May 1, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Please visit www.mem.com to share your memories.
