Our sincere commiserations go out to Virgie and the whole Adams family. May James rest in peace. As a close childhood friend of Wayne, I remember many things about his father. He was a dedicated father, husband and businessman who had a strong work ethic who built a now legendary diner chain and a great sense of humor. He always gave me a hard time in the most sincere and funny ways which I always appreciated. He will certainly be missed, but leaves behind a lovely family and Dallas business legacy.

My girls and I have been blessed to live next to Jim and Virgie Adams for the past few years. Jim always had a smile, a "guardian angel" pin and a candy bar to share (which he did often). We will miss him greatly. Virgie, may God's grace and love surround you and your family now and through the days ahead. Much love to you all!

Uncle Jimmy was an amazing person who I truly admired. Aunt Virgie, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you will miss him very much. It's amazing you were married 62 years. That is awesome! I love you and please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. You both will always be in my heart. Judy, Linda, and Wayne, I pray for peace and comfort for each of you and your families. It is not easy losing a parent, I know you will miss your dad so much. He was a wonderful man. Always know that I love you all and you will always be special to me. Uncle Jimmy had a beautiful smile.
