James is survived by; daughter, Selane Drinning; grandchildren Wendy & Matt McKiddy, Sarah & Gary Reznicek, Emily & John McKiddy and Brandy Townsend; great-grandchildren, Audrey & Cody McKiddy, Brayden, Katelynn & Madeline Reznicek and Annabelle McKiddy; sister, Elizabeth Bayless; nieces and nephews, Terri and Charles Bayless, Frank Ollie and Terri Henry.
James was preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Drinning, Sr., mother, Helen Higdon and his daughter, Edith Townsend.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6000 South R. L., Dallas, TX 75232. A private family graveside service will occur Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park, 6000 South R. L., Dallas, TX 75232.
