2019 at the age of 61 in Austin, Texas. James was born and raised in Dallas to James and
Romilda Foreman. He attended Skyline High School and was elected President of his
graduating class in 1976.
James will be forever missed by his wife of 40 years, Sherry (Hughes)
Foreman. They first met on a blind date in 1974 and spent their lifetime together making
memories and sharing adventures. James had one daughter, Jessica Leigh, who was literally
his Pride and Joy, buddy on numerous road trips and attentive audience to his many stories.
James graduated from the University of Texas in 1982 with a B.A in History. His professional
career spanned across thirty-five years, from beginning as a computer programmer to becoming
a Senior Principal Consultant at Oracle Corporation where he was employed for over a decade.
James spent a large portion of his career traveling where he made many friends from around
the U.S. and other countries.
James was a lifelong Longhorn fan that began during the Darrell Royal years and continued
across all sports throughout his life; however the highlight of his fandom was attending the 2005
Rose Bowl National Championship. He was an avid camper, fisherman, road-tripper, amateur
astronomer, and he thoroughly enjoyed playing golf. He also fully supported his nephews,
James and Joseph, in their many extracurricular activities over the years. His family and friends
will remember him as a practical joker whose greatest joy was to whisper a joke and have them
laugh at inappropriate times.
James is preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Thelma Sealy, and Frank and his
beloved grandmother, Willie Foreman. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Foreman; daughter
Jessica Foreman and son-in-law Nicholas Myers; parents, James and Romilda Foreman; brother,
Richard Wayne Foreman; nephews, James Thomas and Joseph Wayne Foreman; and many
other cousins and relatives.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial on Saturday, August 3rd at Grove Hill
Memorial Park from 2-4 pm; visitation from 2-3 pm, followed by a eulogy. James specifically
requested no organ music or dramatic crying at his memorial, but you know he wouldn’t mind
everyone laughing at inappropriate times.
