James “Jim” was born on March 15, 1950 in Evanston, Illinois to Mary and Michael Fulton, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his partner Joyce Keith of Dallas, and one daughter, Lauren Fulton of New York, from a previous marriage. Jim was preceded in death by his sister Mary Kay Cronenweth (R.W. “Butch”) of Jackson, Michigan, and his brother Ronald (Anita) of Norman, Oklahoma. He is survived by two brothers, Michael (Nancy) of Plains, Kansas, and Thomas of Dallas, as well as many friends who became like brothers during his early education at Christ the King in Dallas. “Uncle Jim” is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Blake and Brian Fulton of Nashville, Tennessee.
Jim attended Dallas Jesuit High School and North Texas State University in Denton. He loved golf, fishing, and animals. Jim was respected within the insurance and bond business in Dallas where he began working for his father from an exceptionally early age.
A private service will be scheduled at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s name to Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas.
