James Jacob Foster, Jr. (J.J.) of Dallas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 13, 2016. James was born in 1995. He attended Hillcrest High School and graduated from Bending Oaks. He was a talented guitar and piano player and a member of the math and basketball teams. James is survived by his parents, Lisa and Jay Foster of Dallas; his sister, Meredith; maternal grandmother, Jane Brown Knickerbocker; aunts and uncles, Jimmy McMurrey; Stefani and Andy Watters; Dana and James Tennyson; cousins Loraina, Wright, Robby, Lane and Samantha; and close family friend Finis Grinke and many other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, LaVerne Giacomo; paternal grandfather, Lum Foster; maternal grandfather, Jim McMurrey, III and his surviving widow, Pauline.
A Memorial Service will be held at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Rd., Dallas, TX on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3pm and a reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in James' name to the SPCA.
