James was born in Sikeston, Missouri in 1943 and was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army. "Jimmy" worked around the world as a technical contractor until his retirement, and has since then been a resident of Dallas, TX. He is survived by his three daughters, Lisa Leible (husband Steve), Elizabeth Brooks (husband Doug), both residing in Sikeston, MO, Leah Howell(husband Ross) from the Dallas area; one son, James C. Johnson of Dallas, TX; six grand-children, Lauren and Chris Leible, Brittany Belt, and Madeline Brooks of Sikeston, MO, and Andrew Howell and Isabella Johnson of the Dallas area. He also leaves his sister, Pam Ayers (husband David) of St. Louis, MO; brother, Elmer Geeham of Sikeston, MO; cousin, Lana Ashlock of Jefferson City, MO; as well as being a very dear friend to many.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75252, Wednesday July 14, 2010, with interment at the DFW National Cemetery with full Military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
