James Allen White, Sr., 82, passed away August 3, 2018, in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Waco, Texas, where he earned his amateur radio license and pilot’s license as a teenager. After graduating with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, he served in the U.S. Army. He then worked in the aerospace defense industry, before turning his talents to becoming a successful independent oil and gas producer. After 40 years in the industry, he retired in Dallas. A cherished husband, father, and grandfather, his interests included photography, aviation, emerging technologies and world travel.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, two children, four grandchildren, a sister and a brother. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at The Saint Michael Chapel at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas at Colgate, Dallas, Texas 75225, 214-363-5471, The Reverend Dr. Christopher D.
