

Jane Johnston Riddlesperger passed away on Saturday, May the 2nd in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Waco, Texas on March 2, 1933 to Albert Caldwell Johnston and Lillian Blakeney Johnston. Jane graduated from Waco High School in 1950, and from Baylor University in 1954, where she was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. It was at Baylor that Jane met her husband, Anthony Gentry Riddlesperger on a blind date, and they were married in Waco on March 17, 1956. The couple relocated to Houston in 1957, and had two sons, Dan and John.
Jane worked as a real estate saleswoman and broker in both Houston and later in Dallas. She was a wonderful artist with many colorful painting hanging from the walls of her own home and some others. She was a life-long Presbyterian who always had a smile on her face and was ready to lend a hand to anyone in need at any time.
Jane was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, sister Katherine Hawthorne, and son Dan. She is survived by her son John, nephews Rev. Blake Hawthorne and his wife Melissa, Mike Hawthorne and his wife Kay, and Joe Hawthorne and his wife Wendy.
Her burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, at a time not yet decided upon. A celebration of Jane's life will take place at a time to be announced in the near future.
