Jane Washington

Park High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. Throughout her formative years, she was raised in an

environment filled with love, strength, and firmly established values. From an early age, she developed the gift of communication—a characteristic that would remain with her throughout her entire life. Her children represented her greatest blessing and source of joy. Jane dedicated her life wholeheartedly to nurturing, supporting, and loving them with unwavering commitment. She maintained high expectations, keeping them accountable while instilling core values of hard work, self-advocacy, and above all, respect. True to her old-school approach, Jane held a firm stance on respectful behavior and made no exceptions in this regard. Jane possessed a gentle yet bold spirit that was recognizable from a distance. When she walked into a room, her presence alone communicated volumes about her character and strength. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel genuinely seen, loved, heard, appreciated, and

encouraged. Her impact on those around her was both profound and lasting. Among her favorite entertainers were singers Anita Baker and Betty Wright. Jane's personal hobbies brought her simple pleasures and reflected her joyful approach to life: purchasing a daily scratch-off lottery ticket, preparing delicious meals, dancing with abandon, singing while she cleaned, and simply enjoying life to its fullest. Her legacy is defined by selflessness and generosity. Jane consistently ensured that others had food to eat and a warm, safe place to rest. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her steadfast faith in God, and her complete devotion to family. Though her passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of those who loved her dearly, her legacy of love, grace, and compassion will continue to live on through her children, family

members, and all whose lives she touched.
