She was born on June 29, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas to Lorraine and Morris Roper and married Wayne Austin on February 7, 1953.
She loved learning new things and decorating her home with her impeccable sense of style, was dedicated to Christ, and raised a family with values and morals, teaching them right from wrong. Family was truly everything to her.
Janell was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne Austin Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years Robert Wayne Austin Sr.; her daughters Juanell and Juanice; grandchildren Robby, Andrea, Eric, Jordan, Bruce Jr, Samantha, Andrew, Amber and great-grandchildren Brenna, Cody, Jaycee, Ryker, Dominik, Logan.
A visitation for Janell will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the chapel of Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225, with the funeral service starting at 2:00 PM.
A committal service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
