Diane,

It is heart breaking to hear such terrible news about Mr Jay. I witnessed first hand how hard he fought! It was a pleasure having had the opportunity to be his nurse during such difficult times. May your soul find the strenght to get through such a lose.

Foundly,
Adonia

Dear Lifshen Family~,
Reading the various memories say everything about Jay. Compassionate, caring, helping those in need, great friend
mentor and softball buddy. Played ball with him since the 80’s and never met a nicer person. Always a hug and big smile. We need more people like Jay in this world. You were lucky to have him in your lives. My prayers to all in his family.

Dear Lifshen Family,
I want to thank you for sharing Jay with the Podiatry profession all these years. To say he was a leader in Podiatry would be a vast understatement.
Jay was one of the cornerstones of Podiatry in Texas. A strong, sensible leader who we all relied on for direction. He was always ahead of the curve in the operating room, practice development and patient care.
It is a great loss that will not be easily overcome.
Jay, I will miss you.. Thanks for allowing me to call you my friend. Tom

To The Lifshen family,

My heart felt condolences got out to you Diane and your entire family. I had the pleasure of working along side of Dr. Lifshen and the Podiatry group for 6 years, 1999-2005.

He was always so passionate and caring towards our patients and they just loved Dr. L! We had our ups and downs, boy did we, but we always had a blast going out for dinners, our fun Holiday parties to our crazy work meetings!

He did a lot for me while I was an employee there, I'll spare you the details, but I'll forever be grateful for him as a person and as my employer!
Years went by and I still could call him up to ask for references so that I could start my nursing career! He was so proud of me for getting my degree and starting this new adventure!

Although it's been a few years since I've seen or spoke to him, I will always have a special place for him and SW Podiarty! He will be surely missed by all!
Sincerely,
Amanda Robinson and family.

To my mentor, friend, and most loving man at Baylor! All of those feet, those patients, their lives you saved all with dignity and humbleness. You have taught me so much and I will always see your smile and hear your words of wisdom even though you are now with our Heavenly Father. Introduce yourself to my father, Mike Peacock. You guys will have a lot to share. Will miss you Dr Lifshen!

Dr. Lifshen will always have a special place in my heart. I had a horrible wound and he saved my leg as well as my life. I am forever grateful to him. He was a big ole teddy bear with a heart of gold. He was very charismatic and passionate when it came to healing his patients. He was the best of the best and he worked with the best of the best. I will be praying for your family and I am at peace knowing you are watching over all of us as our guardian angel.

To Diane and the Lifshen Family:

Karen and I are very sad to hear of Jay's passing. His strength and vest for life will be missed. I will always remember Jay for his passion and competitiveness be it playing softball or golf. The years we played softball together on Alan Sutker's JCC team were a blast. Jay's life was cut short but the memory of Jay will live on in many of us for the rest of our days. I remember when Jay was inducted into the Temple Shalom Softball Hall of Fame I had never seen him smile so big. It was a great day and our brother will be missed. Karen and I wish your family peace and send our love your way. - The Fishkinds
