Jean Lange, 79, of Arlington Texas passed away peacefully and went on to be with the Lord on January 19th, 2021. She resided at Matlock Place Health and Rehabilitation Center, where she had received dementia care since 2018.
Sharla Jean LaRue was born in Sweetwater Texas on June 8, 1941 to Colonel Oliver (Dutch) LaRue Jr. and Gordena LaRue (Yarbrough). While attending business school in Dallas Texas, she met and was later married to John Walter Lange in 1965. They moved to Wylie Texas in 1969 where they raised three boys. Jean was a member of the United Methodist Church, serving in several different churches throughout her life, where she sang in the choir and volunteered in various other capacities. Jean had a successful career in the related fields of law, title insurance and real estate. She became highly respected by many in the Dallas area title insurance and real estate communities, especially for her many years of work at Southwest Land Title, which later became North American Title. Jean was blessed with artistic talents, enjoying various artistic activities such as sketching, painting and crocheting. She also played piano and sang. Jean was a lover of all animals, especially the Bichon Frise dogs she loved over the years.
Jean was preceded in death by her afore mentioned husband, father and mother, and also her brother Kenneth LaRue. She is survived by her son Dennis Lange and his wife Debbie, step son Tom Lange, step son Bob Lange and his wife Jerilyn, brother Joe LaRue, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be a private burial ceremony for immediate family on Friday January 29th at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville. The family is tentatively planning a celebration of life gathering in early June. Special thanks to the staff of Matlock Place Health and Rehabilitation Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful loving care they provided to Jean over the past three years. They were truly a blessing not only to Jean, but to the entire family.
