

She was born on February 25, 1929, in Dallas, Texas, to Fred Walter and Bertie Lee McDonald. Jean was raised in Dallas and attended Forest High School, where she formed many lifelong memories and friendships.
In 1947, she married the love of her life, Copeland Truitt Perry, and together they built a life centered on family and devotion. The couple was blessed with one child.
Jean dedicated more than 30 years of her professional life as a receptionist at Anthem Insurance, where she was known for her warmth, reliability, and friendly spirit. Outside of work, she found joy in reading and cherished every moment spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, CT Perry; her parents, Fred and Bertie Lee McDonald; her sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Frank Wilson; her nephew, Gary Wilson; and her brother and sister-in-law, Fred Walter, Jr. and Johnnie Louise McDonald.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Sam Byrd; her grandchildren, Lori Byrd and Kevin Byrd; and her great-granddaughters, Bailee and Shelby Byrd. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
