Jean Marilyn Robertson

Jean, age 87, passed on December 23, 2013 from complications of a severe stroke in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she lived until 1960. With Harold, her husband of 40 years, who passed in 1989, Jean and their children lived in several different cities as a result of her husband’s work at General Electric. They started in Milwaukee, WI, then moved to Danville, IL, then Dallas, TX, then DeKalb, IL and finally ending up in Erie, PA. She lived in Erie from 1979 until 2009, when she moved back to Dallas to be near family members. She was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker for her entire life. Jean was active in church and community affairs. In recent years, she was known for her vitality and energy, played golf into her 80’s and had a routine of daily walks even after her move into a retirement community. Being always cheerful and friendly, she will be remembered by her family and friends for her kindness and generosity.

Jean is survived by her three children, Dwight Robertson, Daryl Robertson and Sheryl Robertson, her three daughters-in-law, Colleen Robertson, Darleen Robertson and Lori Anderson, and her five grandchildren, Dwight Robertson, II (Drew), Holly Robertson, Brennan Robertson, Daryl Robertson Jr. (Deuce), and Cameron Robertson. The family expects to hold a Memorial Service during the July 4, 2014 holiday weekend at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Erie, Pennsylvania.
